Hello all, here's a rather jam packed update from me!
Commissions:
Bug-I have the kitty patterned out. Need to prototype it and make any necessary tweaks to the pattern, and then your little tuxie boy will be sewn as part of my "how to change patterns for markings" lesson.
Jake-I need to get posterboard to make your pattern on, and I will be making a basic dog+your guy to show altering with faux fur as well.
--If you want a plush featured in the classes, I am still taking discount commissions! PLEASE NOTE: The process of making them will be publicly documented and shared for educational purposes. Your character/design will remain yours and you will still get your plush, but these will take a bit longer since I will be documenting the entire process.
SO, yep there's a little bit of waiting involved for both of these. Luckily, I should be able to get posterboard on Wednesday, and then I have to do some pattern testing (let me know if any of you want to test a beginner/intermediate/advanced sewing pattern! I'll send you a copy, you just have to make the plush according to pattern and give feedback and a pic or two!) and research into making PDFs and then the classes will begin!
ALSO premades: I need to make several for this class, to show off patterns and different techniques and such. These plushies will be for sale, would it be better for me to list them up before classes begin, as I go, or afterwards? Classes are free, and there will be free patterns shared, but I will also have a couple for sale and would like to sell some of the plushies made as well. I will also be making props!
ANOTHER QUESTION: Would you all like it if I put premades up in Etsy? I still have lots of leftovers from when I did a lot of craft shows, and maybe having a set shop would be better for those wishing to buy something from me. Please let me know!
By the way, doctor visit on the 12th. Hopefully good news, this is the big one where they discuss what treatments I will be getting. <3

Premades for tutorials?

Okay, so I have written out a lesson plan for the plush building/sewing tutorials.
BUT
What sort of plushies should I be making for the tutorials? I'd like to either have them be commissioned or for sale afterwards, to help offset the time put into making the lessons.
Maybe some dogs/wolves? Big cats? Dragons? I have no idea, haha.

Life updates+stepping back

The past month has been rough, with lots of stress and pressures triggering both my medical and mental issues. As it stands now, I need to step completely back.
I will be focusing on my plushies and props. The account will be cleaned up and I am going to start taking measures to have nicer photos to upload. I have been spending too much time with digital art, and not enough time streamlining my sewing process. I believe I can improve my turnaround time further, as well as sourcing some nicer materials for higher quality. I also have many ideas in development for future plushies, including having plush-scale resin parts made and casting custom safety eyes for more variety.
I am also working on getting everything together for the tutorials. I am developing some patterns that I will hand out to a few non-sewing friends to test, and I am currently making a list of topics I wish to cover. If you have any requests for specific lessons, please let me know!
I will still be contact-able on this page, and I will still fave+comment and chat with people! Commissions and trades are not affected by this at all, I am just striving to present a more professional image and portfolio. If you want to hang out and chitterchat, feel free to ask for my Skype/gamertag/Facebook info as well.
I will -not- be attending any furry cons this year, and I am not and may never be interested in purchasing/trading for a fursuit. I am tired of being pressured to do so. My husband does not like them, and I respect him and will honor his wish. I will no longer be nice on these topics.
My internal issues have progressed to the point of needing to see a specialist for the specific organs affected. Diet and exercise have not improved or maintained my condition enough, it's possible I will need therapy or medications for it as well. This is heartbreaking news, as I have done so much to prevent this from worsening.

Also, would you all prefer I make a base chart for commission prices? I usually do them all privately, since I factor in several things (size, material used, complexity, etc.) when I make a quote, but I could probably make a basic chart with "add-ons" and such.
